Jennian Homes Nelson Bays Wins ‘Gold’

As athletes prepare to compete at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games tomorrow, Jennian Homes Nelson Bays has already won ‘gold’.

At a glittering awards evening on the Gold Coast overnight, the Nelson Bays franchise won Jennian Homes’ prestigious Franchisee of the Year award, the second time in three years the franchise has won the award.

The three other finalists for Franchisee of the Year were Jennian Homes Wellington, Jennian Homes Wairarapa and Jennian Homes Coromandel.

The black-tie awards evening, held at the 5 Star QT Gold Coast Hotel and hosted by media personality Sam Wallace, was brought forward to coincide with the Commonwealth Games, with franchisees and their families given the opportunity to attend today’s opening ceremony.

This is thanks to Jennian Homes being a proud partner of the New Zealand Commonwealth Games team.

“It’s both a surprise and a tremendous honour to accept the Franchisee of the Year award on behalf of the team,” says Mr Collett, joined by Jennian Homes Nelson Bays general manager Daryl O’Reilly in accepting the award.

“It’s a tribute to the hard work that everyone’s put into ensuring that we deliver the best product possible.

“Owning a quality home is an incredibly important goal for most families, and our greatest reward is making that dream come true.”

Mr Collett was also added to the Jennian Homes ‘Hall of Fame’, in recognition of the considerable time and effort he has given in mentoring business people.

Jennian Homes chief operating officer Aidan Jury says that the Nelson Bays franchise impressed with the consistent quality of their homes.

“We are proud of the achievements of all our franchisees, but Simon, Darryl and the team have set a new benchmark that really gives all of us something to aspire to,” Mr Jury says.

“It is particularly gratifying to see the way Simon has given back to his community, to his colleagues, and to other business people through his selfless advice, mentoring and support.”

With Jennian Homes being a proud partner of the New Zealand Commonwealth Games team and #EarnTheFern campaign, Mr Jury says the opening of the Games presented the perfect opportunity for Jennian’s annual awards evening.

“The Gold Coast is buzzing with athletes who are at the top of their game. I can’t think of a better time and place to celebrate our top players as well, says Mr Jury.
