Jennian Homes Coromandel Takes ‘Gold’ With Prestigious Supreme Award

Jennian Homes Coromandel has shown New Zealand’s 2018 Commonwealth Games athletes the recipe for success after achieving a rare feat in scooping the Supreme Franchisee award.

At a glittering awards evening on the Gold Coast overnight, the Whangamata-based franchise won Jennian Homes’ most prestigious award – just the third time the accolade has been presented in the national organisation’s 35-year history.

To be eligible a franchise must have been a top-three finalist five out of the past eight years for Franchisee of the Year.

A golden night was capped off further by being named a finalist in the Franchisee of the Year 2018 award alongside Jennian Homes Wellington, Jennian Homes Wairarapa and overall winner Jennian Homes Nelson Bays.

The black-tie awards evening, held at the 5 Star QT Gold Coast Hotel and hosted by media personality Sam Wallace, was brought forward to coincide with the Commonwealth Games, with franchisees and their families given the opportunity to attend today’s opening ceremony.

This is thanks to Jennian Homes being a proud partner of the New Zealand Commonwealth Games team.

“To be recognised as one of the best in our business with such a prestigious award is extremely humbling,” says Stephen Trebilco who owns and operates the franchise alongside wife Haley Trebilco.

“Like all Jennian Homes franchisees, we work hard to build a reputation for excellence in customer service, design and craftsmanship in every home we build. And any accolades are secondary.
“Owning a quality home is an incredibly important goal for most families, and our greatest reward is making that dream come true.”

Jennian Homes chief operating officer Aidan Jury says the award is a tribute to the team of people who take enormous satisfaction out of making homeowners happy.

And the Coromandel franchise is more than deserving of this accolade.
“It is incredibly rare to present this award with Jennian Homes having done so only twice previously in its 35-year history,” explains Mr Jury.

“To be recognised as a consistent performer is a testament to the Coromandel team’s drive to raise the standard within the organisation.”

With Jennian Homes being a proud partner of the New Zealand Commonwealth Games team and #EarnTheFern campaign, Mr Jury says the opening of the Games presented the perfect opportunity for Jennian’s annual awards evening.

“The Gold Coast is buzzing with athletes who are at the top of their game. I can’t think of a better time and place to celebrate our top players as well, says Mr Jury.

Jennian Homes Wellington Reaches The Podium At Annual Awards

Jennian Homes Wellington has got into the 2018 Commonwealth Games spirit early by showing they are top of their game after being named a Franchisee of the Year finalist.

At a glittering awards evening on the Gold Coast overnight, the Plimmerton-based franchise was announced as one of four finalists for the national accolade.

The other finalists announced were Jennian Homes Wairarapa and Jennian Homes Coromandel, with Jennian Homes Nelson Bays named the overall winner.

Jennian Homes Wellington owners Simon and Belinda Barber say they take pride in ensuring all their homes are at a consistently high standard and are very pleased this has been recognised.

To be among the top echelon of the 30 franchise areas operated around the country is no small feat with the benchmark among franchises constantly being raised, adds Mr Barber.

“We’ve worked really hard to build a reputation for excellence in customer service, design and craftsmanship in every home we build, so being recognised as one of the best in our business is both reassuring and motivating.

“The team delivers top-quality service within the local community, they’ve had great results and they really deserve this accolade.”

Jennian Homes chief operating officer Aidan Jury says the Wellington franchise is one of a number of consistent performers in helping strengthen the Jennian Homes brand nationwide and is deserving of its finalist award.

“We are proud of the growth and progress of all our regional franchisee teams including the Wellington team lead by Simon and Belinda,” says Mr Jury.

“They have worked hard to establish themselves as a steady performer within Jennian Homes, and are an integral part of the local Wellington community.”

Jennian Homes Nelson Bays Wins ‘Gold’

As athletes prepare to compete at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games tomorrow, Jennian Homes Nelson Bays has already won ‘gold’.

At a glittering awards evening on the Gold Coast overnight, the Nelson Bays franchise won Jennian Homes’ prestigious Franchisee of the Year award, the second time in three years the franchise has won the award.

“It’s both a surprise and a tremendous honour to accept the Franchisee of the Year award on behalf of the team,” says Mr Collett, joined by Jennian Homes Nelson Bays general manager Daryl O’Reilly in accepting the award.

“It’s a tribute to the hard work that everyone’s put into ensuring that we deliver the best product possible.

“Owning a quality home is an incredibly important goal for most families, and our greatest reward is making that dream come true.”

Mother’s Day Fun Run Returns

Tickets are now on sale for New Zealand’s largest Mother’s Day event, the Jennian Homes Mother’s Day Fun Run/Walk, in support of women’s heart health.

More than 13,000 people are expected to take part in the 5km event, which will be held on May 13th in 32 locations across the country from Paihia to Invercargill.

With 2017 seeing a record number of women embrace the chance to have fun, get active and support a worthy cause, this year will see events at 10 new locations, including Cambridge, Taupo, Napier, Blenheim and Wanaka.

Now in its seventh year, the annual event supports ‘Heart Foundation for Women’, in what is the Heart Foundation’s 50th anniversary year.

Each location will have up to three Commonwealth Games athletes assisting with the warm-up, and all participants will receive an official event t-shirt designed by iconic New Zealand artist Dick Frizzell that features the word ‘fifty’ in the shape of a love heart to acknowledge the anniversary year.

“Heart disease is the single biggest killer of women in New Zealand, claiming the lives of more than 55 women each week,” says Heart Foundation Medical Director Gerry Devlin.

“The Jennian Homes Mother’s Day Fun Run/Walk is a great way to raise much-needed funds and awareness for heart health and encourage women to look after themselves by being fit and active.

“Jennian Homes has been a loyal supporter of the Heart Foundation for almost a decade. Since the Heart Foundation began, it has invested more than $65 million into heart research and specialist cardiac training. Jennian Homes has made a significant contribution to this.

“We are excited to see so many new locations introduced to the event this year, which should see the biggest turnout ever. It’s certainly a fitting way to celebrate the Heart Foundation’s 50th anniversary and this most important relationship.”

Jennian Homes COO Aidan Jury says mothers play a special part in our lives, making Mother’s Day the perfect day to hold an event focused on women’s health.

“We are proud to be involved in not only helping to raise money and awareness, but also in encouraging women and their families to get fit and active,” says Mr Jury.

“For some women, the Jennian Homes Mother’s Day Fun Run/Walk is life-changing, being the catalyst for an ongoing exercise regime. Those are the real success stories.”

While the event is enthusiastically embraced by women the length and breadth of the country, Jennian Homes is this year appealing for more men to get out and show their support.

“They say behind every great man is a great woman – the reverse is also very much true. This event brings women and their health to the forefront and it would be great to see the men in their lives taking an active support role – whether that’s looking after the kids so mum can get some training in, cheering her on from the side lines or even lacing up their running shoes and joining in,” says Mr Jury.

Jennian Homes is proud to champion the need for better heart awareness in New Zealand and will be giving $20,000 to the Heart Foundation to support women’s heart health following the Mother’s Day events.

Early Bird tickets start at $20 and are available until the end of March. There are also discounted rates for juniors and groups.
